About Evrylife

A social network that belongs to its members

Evrylife is a public good: a community-owned, decentralized social protocol for exploring the social world. It belongs to no company and no founder.

Why it exists

Billions of people should be able to communicate, create and govern themselves on durable open protocols, free from extraction, surveillance and capture. That is the whole point.

Social platforms became the place where people talk, organise, learn and earn. Yet the people who make them valuable have no say in the rules and no share in the result. Evrylife starts from the opposite end: the members are the owners, and the software is built so that this cannot quietly be undone.

Four promises that cannot be voted away

Constitution, Article I. Immutable.

  • A fixed supply of 24,000,000,000 EVRY Fixed forever. The token contract is immutable: no minting beyond the cap and no upgradeable proxy.
  • Zero founder, investor or team allocation None now, none ever. Every token is distributed by contribution, from community-directed treasury pools.
  • No single point of control No one, the founder included, controls the protocol, its data, its keys, its moderation or its code. Authority rests with the community.
  • Non-extractive by construction The protocol funds itself as a commons and spends only from existing balance. No ads, no data sales, no rent-seeking.

How it works

Your identity is a wallet, not a row in a company database

You sign in with your Web3 wallet. Your identity is a decentralized identifier you control. No password, no email required.

Your data lives on open protocols

Profiles, content, the social graph, votes and messages are stored on open peer-to-peer networks (OrbitDB on IPFS and libp2p). They are replicated between many computers, exportable, and yours.

The community governs everything

Moderation, development, governance proposals, translations and treasury allocations all flow through zkr-POGO, Evrylife's consensus system. Reviewers are selected at random, bounded by stake and reputation, and identities are stripped from the review. (Full cryptographic zero-knowledge is planned and not yet in place.)

The rulebook is public

The Evrylife Control Plane (ECP) is the constitution of the software: public registries defining every module, feature, automation, setting and policy. Nothing ships that is not in the ECP, and the app is kept in verified lockstep with it.

AI advises, people decide

The community's AI agents classify and recommend; human consensus decides. Each agent can be switched on or off by the community and is trained on the same public knowledgebase.

What makes it different

Most "web3 social" projects keep a company in the loop: a hosted API, a token war chest, an admin back door. Evrylife's bootstrap removes all three. The runtime is decentralized-only, the token has no insider allocation, and there is no admin entrance. The founder tests the platform as an ordinary member.

Where the Foundation fits

The Evrylife Foundation exists to bootstrap the protocol and then get out of the way. During bootstrap the owner may move fast without a consensus vote, but never around the public record and never around Article I. Every bootstrap change is transparent and reversible. At hand-off, every remaining bootstrap key rotates to community control and authority passes to full community governance (Constitution, Article X).

This page is the Foundation's plain-language summary. The canonical text is the community's own: knowledgebase document KB047 and the Constitution, which only change through zkr-POGO consensus.
