Glossary
Key terms used across the Evrylife platform. This glossary is DAO-governed: corrections and new terms go through zkr-POGO consensus, same as every knowledgebase.
API Key
A credential for authenticating with external services. On Evrylife, members bring their OWN keys (AI, storage) — your usage stays yours, on your device.
Backup Wallet
A second wallet cryptographically linked to your account with signatures from both wallets, so you can sign in even if your primary is unavailable.
Blockchain
A distributed, immutable ledger recording transactions across a network.
Causes
Community-created initiatives under six DAO pillars (disaster relief, healthcare, clean water, housing & economic development, renewable energy, environmental restoration), supported by member votes and funded from treasury pool tp07.
Community Score
Reputation from overall participation: content quality, guideline adherence, positive interactions.
Connect (Wallet Connect)
Linking your Web3 wallet to Evrylife for authentication; your wallet IS your account.
DAO Governance
Decentralized decision-making by the community. Evrylife's DAO governs platform rules, treasuries, moderation thresholds, and all improvements.
Decentralization
Distribution of control away from any central authority. Evrylife's runtime is decentralized-only: no ads, user-owned data, community governance, no admin backdoor.
Decentralized Storage
Data distributed across nodes via IPFS, Arweave, Filecoin, Storacha, and similar protocols.
Dev Score
Reputation earned through development tasks and code reviews via zkr-POGO.
DID (Decentralized Identifier)
The wallet-derived identity you control; no company database entry, no password.
Difficulty Basket
The reward class of a zkr-POGO task. A basket sets the task's POINTS; actual EVRY is your prorated share of that epoch's treasury release — never a fixed amount.
EAIP
Application Improvement Proposal: the formal process for proposing platform changes, decided by community consensus.
ECP (Evrylife Control Plane)
The ~30 canonical registries that define the entire protocol: modules, features, automations, variables, policies. Nothing ships that is not in it.
Encrypted DMs
Direct messages end-to-end encrypted with wallet-derived keys and carried on the decentralized network (OrbitDB/libp2p). No plaintext mode exists.
Epoch
A treasury release period. Rewards are weighted averages across each epoch's completed work, so no payout is ever set in stone.
EVRY Token
The ecosystem token (24B hard cap, zero founder/VC/team allocation) used for staking, governance, and rewards. Settlement activates at TGE.
Evrylife Reward Points
Points earned through participation, trackable toward the community airdrop at token launch.
Guardian
The automated compliance check that blocks any code change violating the constitution: kill-switches, backdoors, anti-greed breaches, or re-centralization.

IPFS
InterPlanetary File System: peer-to-peer, content-addressed storage used for decentralized file hosting.
libp2p
The peer-to-peer networking stack Evrylife uses for replication and messaging transport.
Mod Score
Reputation earned through zkr-POGO moderation reviews, reflecting quality and fairness.
OrbitDB
A peer-to-peer database on IPFS + libp2p. Evrylife stores profiles, content, the social graph, votes, messages, and settings as OrbitDB documents.
Semaphore
A zero-knowledge protocol for anonymous group signaling, PLANNED for zkr-POGO private consensus (deferred, not yet live; today review is identity-stripped anonymized replication, not cryptographic ZK).
Smart Contracts
Self-executing programs on the blockchain that enforce agreement terms without intermediaries. Evrylife's token and treasury contracts are immutable by design.
Snapshot
An off-chain voting platform; Evrylife wraps Snapshot signals inside zkr-POGO consensus.
Staking
Locking EVRY to participate in governance and reviews (requirement waived during bootstrap).
TGE (Token Generation Event)
Token launch; the moment EVRY settlement paths (tips, subscriptions, bounty payouts, cause funding) go live on-chain.
Treasury Pools (tp01–tp09)
Nine community-directed treasuries funding rewards, development, moderation, causes, and operations. All community-directed; none founder-directed.
Web3 Meta Tree
The DAO-governed taxonomy (~31,000 nodes) organizing content by topics, locations, and breakdowns — shared community vocabulary managed by consensus, not an opaque algorithm.
Web3 Wallet
A non-custodial wallet for managing assets and signing; your key to Evrylife without passwords.
zk (Zero Knowledge)
Cryptography that proves a statement without revealing the underlying information.
zkr-POGO
Zero Knowledge Randomized Proof of Group Opinion: Evrylife's consensus system. Randomly-selected eligible reviewers judge moderation, development, and governance decisions; reviewer and raiser identities are stripped from the replicated task. Stake and reputation bound who reviews, consensus decides.
